Keane E. Mayo, was born in Baltimore, Maryland on July 6, 1955 to the late James and Zela Mayo. He was the sibling of three, one sister (Ava) and brother (Lawrence) who both preceded him in death and surviving brother, Van Mayo.
He attended Baltimore City Schools and was also employed with Baltimore City as a custodian for twenty five years.
“Shorty”, as we called him, loved visiting and sitting down at the Harbor. He also enjoyed traveling locally and abroad. To all those that knew him knew he had a sweet tooth and could eat a whole cake in one sitting.
Shorty was loved by all and will be missed. He was cared for by his niece, Shannon, who attended to his needs until his passing.
He leaves to cherish his memories: brother, Van Mayo; aunt, Matilda Bennet; uncle, Benjamin Hendricks of Virginia and Elaine Person (William) of New Jersey; nieces, Shannon, Sandra, Tinika; nephews-Roger, Lawrence Jr. and Dione; cousins, Dorothy Davis and Eltenease Davis-Lee and a host of great nieces, great, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
Shorty is now resting with family who preceded him in death, his parents, sister Ava and brother Lawrence.
