Listen to Obituary

Kaylah Alisha Williams was born on September 23, 1998 to Alisha Dunlap-Edwards and Thomas Williams Jr. in Baltimore, Maryland. On Monday, November 7, 2022, Kaylah unexpectedly transitioned to the gates of heaven.

Kaylah was a strong, resilient, compassionate, soft-spoken young woman. She gave her life to Christ at an early age. Kaylah was educated through the Baltimore Public School System and she graduated from REACH Partnership School. Upon graduating she obtained her Certified Nursing Assistant and Geriatric Nursing Assistant license through the Maryland Board of Nursing.

Kaylah had a love and passion for children which led to obtaining her Early Childhood Development certification. She was employed at Inheritance Academy as a Tenacious teacher. Kaylah touched children’s hearts and shaped their futures. She worked diligently without complaint and truly wanted to see everyone win. Ultimately, Kaylah’s goal was to open her own childcare facility.

Kaylah adored her family and friends and had a love for dogs. She loved traveling, family events, and exploring different restaurants. Regardless of what restaurant she went to, she always ordered chicken tenders and fries with a Shirley temple. Kaylah was the life of the party.

Kaylah was the sweetest, most caring, and most gentle soul that you would ever encounter. She would give you everything she had just to put a smile on your face. She enjoyed making everyone around her happy.

She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Theodore Whittley Jr; grandfather, Isaac Allen Sr. (gramps); great-grandmother, Pearl Dunlap; great-grandfather, Samuel Paul. She leaves to cherish: mother, Alisha Dunlap-Edwards;  father, Thomas Williams Jr.; stepfather, Dion; stepmother, Kia; grandmothers, Yvonne Dunlap and Bernadette Williams Allen; sister, Na’Shaiya Williams; aunt, Sheron Williams- Redfern; uncle, Theodore Whittley III; favorite cousin, Dayvon; her ride or die, Aunt Letty; godmother, Tamara Peterson-Tillman; god sister, Morgan Tillman; god brothers, Milton and Mason Tillman; best friend, D’Asia Banks; and godson, Amir with a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family, and friends.
