KAREN LYNNE SMITH was born on August 23, 1952 to the late Grace Neal and John Smith in Baltimore, Maryland.
In 1989, "Lynne" as she was affectionately called, graduated from the Ron Thomas School of Cosmetology in Baltimore, Maryland and went on to become the proud Owner/Operator of Futuristics Beauty Salon, located at 1743 East North Ave.
In 1994 Lynne married Reginald "Reggie" Winmond who she loved and admired dearly for twenty-eight years. The two were dedicated to one another until the very end.
Miss Lynne was a talented beautician that left her love of the profession in every hairstyle she created. She could do hair with her eyes closed and when her clients left her chair, they were constantly complimented on her amazing work. She was a fantastic fashionista, with a great sense of humor to match. She was always in charge and calling all the shots-words straight from her mouth, she was outspoken and to the point. If she liked you, you could tell by her love and affection, if she didn't like you well, lets just say you know that too.
She had a smile that would warm your heart instantly and a heart of gold that would never see anyone without. When it came to her grand's (grandchildren) she gave them the world and in return they gave her the undeniable satisfaction of the love she deserved!
Our beloved Lynne will be missed, but never forgotten.
She leaves behind her husband, Reginald Winmond; her sisters, Charlene Jennings and Sandra Ramshur; her brother, Wesley Smith; sons, Anthony Johnson (Torshell Johnson), John Saunders, Ernest Shoffner (Latasha Shoffner) and Rodney Winmond (Teara Winmond); her grandchildren, Shemeka, Keenan, Jovan, Devante, Kayla, Keon, Kennedy, Carson, Charlie, Anthony, "LA" Jr., London Sr., Quonte, Linnell, Little Lon, Jade, Reece and Logan; her great-grandchildren, Saige, Kardi, Sola, London Jr., Telin, Dimonte, Zyte, Noah, Baby Jon and Nova Joy and a very special nephew, Courtney Jordan (Jarvlin Jordan); Lynne also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her parents and her grandchildren, Bernard and Quonterra.
