JULIA MARIAM WILLIAMS-BRISCOE, daughter of the late Marion Williams and Joseph Blakely was born in Washington D.C. on December 13, 1931. She was called home to glory on Tuesday, October 5, 2021 after a long illness.

She received her education in the Washington D.C. Public School System.

Julia and her mother moved to Baltimore Maryland in search of better opportunities. Her first job in Baltimore was at Crown Supermarket. She then started caring for children in the Day Care field. She later transitioned to working at an Assisted Living Facility for the elderly where she later retired.

Later in life she met and fell in love with Wilbur Leroy Qualls and from this relationship they had six children together, Lenora, Wilbur, Jr., Reginald, William, Pamela and Re'nee. She also had a son, Floyd from a previous relationship that hey raised together. Wilbur, Sr. preceded her in death in 2000.

Julia was affectionally called 'jewels" by her children and closet friend, Cindy Fowlkes and Grandma by her grandchildren.

Julia was a caring and loving mother and grandmother. Even though she gave birth to seven children, late in life, to help a close friend she took on thye responsibility of raising Connor Joseph Branch, Jr. from the age of six months until his untimely death.

Julia enjoyed completing word search puzzles and reading romance novels in her spare time. Her most rewarding pastime was watching the Young and Restless, Bold and Beautiful and any cowboy western. As her eye site began to fail, she would religiously listen to her talking bible with special attention to the book of John.

Julia leaves to cherish fond memories: two daughters, Lenora Feaster and Pamela Jennings; one son, William P. Qualls; fifteen grandchildren, Courtney Jennings, Corey Jennings, La'Quan Jennings, Robert Jennings III, Yolanda Flood, Michael Feaster, Reginald Qualls Jr., Roland Qualls, William S.P. Qualls, Qiana Hobbs, Sabrina Qualls, Jocelyn Branch, Gwendolyn Williams, Floyd Williams, Jr., Dionne Williams and Sauncirae Williams; twenty-five, great-grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; one son-in-law, Samuel Feaster; one daughter-in-law, Adell Williams; one grand-daughter-in-law, Carla Qualls; two grands-in-law, Arthur Flood and Tracey Hobbs; Special friends, Mary Feaster and Cindy Fowlkes and children, and a host of relatives and friends.
