Joshua Nathaniel Pierce-Morris was born to Kimmie W. Morris and Marshell (Tina) PierceMorris on February 24, 1996, at Johns Hopkins Hospital in Baltimore, Maryland. Joshua was called home to be with the Lord on November 4, 2025.
At an early age, Joshua accepted Christ and was baptized at Zion Baptist Church under the leadership of Dr. Marshall F. Prentice.
Joshua was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System and graduated from the Harbor Institute. He continued his studies at National Center on Institutions and Alternatives (NCIA), where he received certification in DAYCO Drive Belt Training and Installation. He also attended Turnaround Tuesday, Incorporated on Preston Street in Baltimore, Maryland where he was dedicated to living a positive and vibrant public life.
Joshua was affectionately known as “Josh” or “Stringa Velli.” He was anointed in the gift of music, and he loved to dance. Josh had a joyful spirit and an unforgettable presence, he always knew how to make an entrance at family gatherings.
Josh loved to eat and never discriminated when it came to food—he enjoyed everything! He was also known for his great sense of humor and natural comedic timing. Above all, Josh was kindhearted, caring, and always willing to help anyone in need. He was devoted to his family, his friends, and all those he loved.
Joshua touched everyone’s life with his presence. His smile could light up a room and melt your heart. His personality was infectious which made it very easy to love him. He was a fighter and a fearless man who wouldn’t run from anything, or anyone!! He will truly be missed by us all.
Joshua was preceded in death by his younger sister, Jasmine Pierce. Left to cherish his memory are his loving parents, Marshell (Tina) Pierce-Morris and Kimmie W. Morris; his siblings, Dorian Pierce (Brian), De’ona Pierce, Shannon Murray, Rasheda O. Morris, and Zenovia K. Morris; his grandparents, Mary and Ernest Morris; his aunts and uncles, Gary Morris (Valerie),Michele Morris, Joi Morris, Tania Peterson, Larry Johnson, Andra Fulwood, Michael Fulwood, Vanessa Fulwood, Augusta Pierce, Hilda James, Muciska Pierce (Diane), and Betty Pierce; his nephew, Aiden Higgins; his beloved twins, daughter, Torri Pierce-Morris; son, Tabari PierceMorris and daughter Tinsley Pierce-Morris (mother, Ronnika Hughes), and daughter, Journee Pierce-Morris (mother, Destiny Gray). He also leaves to cherish his memory, a host of other relatives, friends, neighbors, church family, and a special cousin, Tiombae James.
