Listen to Obituary

JOSEPHINE ANNE PEARSON, the daughter of the late Minnie and Anderson Pearson was born on July 13, 1951 in Baltimore, Maryland. She suddenly departed this life on Sunday, August 29, 2021 after a brief illness.

Ann as she liked to be called attended the Baltimore City Public Schools where she graduated from Dunbar High School. Ann had four siblings whom preceded her in death, Mary, Willie, Dorothy and William, Ann later met Lewis Jones and out of this union three children were born, Tonya, Tracey and Brian Jones. Ann later received an apprenticeship position with the Baltimore Sun News paper, where she worked for 28 years. Ann became a skilled press printer, a title that few black females held during those times. She did whatever she needed to do to provide for her children. Ann later worked for Stella Maris of Towson and Morgan State University for a few years before retiring in 2019.

Ann was a Joy to be around. She loved her family and friends and cousins unconditionally. Ann knew how to make you feel welcomed and appreciated, she practiced the traditions of her ancestors to always help the lost and down trodden, whether a family member or not. When Ann was unsure of something she would definitely reach out to others to get the correct answer she needed. Ann had an infectious smile and laugh that would light up a room. She had an adoring oldest sister Minnie that would do anything for her. She loved her brothers and her loving children.

Ann will forever remain in the hearts of her grandchildren, Ashley, Sakia, Terry, Darius, Tyshere and Tyneisha, her great grandchildren: Darius, Antonio, Denver, Dashe and Emerson and little one on the way. There is no doubt in the families mind that Ann made it in because she believed in God's promise of Eternal life.

Ann leaves to mourn her passing, three children; Tonya (Troy), Tracey and Brian; her grandchildren and great grand children; sister, Minnie Little (Bob), four brothers, Earl, Arthur (Sharon), Tyrone and Curtis Pearson; one aunt,  Lella Montgomery; one uncle, Eugene Bracey (Marilyn); a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.

Rest our precious Ann, you are an angel now. Take your wings and fly. We love you, but God loves you best.
