NO PICTURE PROVIDED.....
JOHNETTA ELIZABETH TERRY PHILLIPS, daughter of the late Mary Carnegie and John "Judge" Terry, was born in Baltimore, Maryland on November 4, 1943. After a lengthy illness, she departed this life on February 21, 2025.
Johnetta, affectionately known by family and friends as Johnnie, received her education at Eastern High School. She also attended Baltimore City Community College.
Shortly after college, Johnnie's love for children led her to seek a job as a Crossing Guard for a short time. Later Johnnie became a Truant Officer for Baltimore City.
Johnnie's hobbies included playing cards, betting on horse races and cooking. Johnnie was an excellent cook to all who knew her. Johnnie was a voracious talker. She loved to engage other people in conversations regarding sports, politics and a variety of subjects. Johnnie's proclivity for communicating with others always made her the life of the party at family gatherings.
Johnnie retired from Allied Barton Security in 2016.
Johnnie leaves to mourn: two daughters, Arndrea and Lena Phillips; a devoted sister, Wanda Moseley; two brothers, Chester and Andre Mosely; a devoted and much-loved son-in-law, Nathaniel B. Royal, and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
