JESSE YOUNG ROBINSON, was known as Buggie Bug, June and Junior to family and friends. He was born August 11, 1947 to the late Jesse(Jack) and Queen Robinson in Skippers, Va. He departed peacefully on January 26, 2016 after a brief illness.
Jesse was raised in a Christian home. Jesse gave his life to Christ at an early age and was baptized. He attended Southern Baptist Church as a young person. He let his light shine by being a helper, giver and supporter to all who needed him. His life was lived as a reflection of Christ. His favorite sermon by the late Pastor Rev. Grant was entitled, 'You Might Get By, But You Can't Get Away.' He also attended Cornerstone Baptist Church. He was a member of New Rehoboth Baptist Church when he departed.
Jesse met Jeanette Pointer a neighbor in his community. The two fell in love and married shortly after. Out of this union two children were born, Jerrine Robinson and Annette Robinson-Burnette.
Jesse began his education in Virginia at Powell School. However after moving to Baltimore, he continued his education at Frederick Douglass High School. He then completed his trade of mechanical drawing at Carver Vocational School. Jesse went on to work at Bethlehem Steel, from 1966 until 2012, where he retired after over 40 years of service.
The one thing Jesse truly enjoyed was traveling home to Virginia to visit family and friends. He always made an effort to stay awhile as often as he could. He also enjoyed shooting pool. Jesse enjoyed watching old western movies and National Geographic Channel. As a carpenter by trade he also enjoyed doing roofing work as well as various home improvement projects.
