JAQUAN DAWAN HOLT was born September 2, 1994 to Rena Buckner and John Holt, Sr. On Thursday, November 12, 2015, God looked around his garden and found an empty space. He put his arms around you and lifted you to rest. God's garden must be
beautiful, He only takes the best.
JaQuan was educated in Baltimore City Schools. He was always an excellent student, and loved to learn. Growing up, he was always athletic, but his passion was football. Ever since the age
of six, he wouldn't put his football down. From little league up until high school, he lead his teams to numerous championships and was awarded MVP almost every season.
JaQuan's high school career is where he became a "STAR". He was a running back at Paul Laurence Dunbar High School. In his sophomore, junior, and senior years, he was able to help bring a victory to his team at the State Championship. This was just a few of many accomplishments during his time at Dunbar. He was also chosen to create a workout DVD with one of the world's greatest linebackers, Ray Lewis. He graduated in 2013 with a 3.5 GPA, and was awarded an athletic scholarship to play football in California where he studied for one year before returning home. JaQuan attained eminent success by simply doing what was required of him.
After returning home, JaQuan wanted to focus on his career outside of football. He decided to earn his commercial drivers license and was looking forward to working in this field.
JaQuan was warm-hearted, loving, energetic, and most of all, funny. He could always put a smile on your face and tears in your eyes from one of his silly jokes, funny faces, or his dancing; and he loved to dance. His family was the most important thing to him, and he loved spending time with each and every one of them. He was truly a blessing to the lives of so many.
JaQuan leaves to cherish and carry on his memory; his loving and devoted mother, Rena Buckner Brady; father, John Holt, Sr.; stepfather, William Brady II; brothers, Ernest Brown, John and Jabbari Holt; stepbrother, William Brady, III; sisters, Natasha Brown, Taneka and Skai Holt, and Taneisha Jones; sister in-laws, Ashley
