JAMES MORGAN RAY, the son of the late Lonnie Ray and Louise Ray Finney was born on May 25, 1933 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on November 26, 2015.
Morgan was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. He served in the Korean War and received two Bronze Stars with an Honorable Discharge. Morgan relocated to New Orleans and was employed as a deckhand on a fishing boat.
Morgan returned to Baltimore and attended Baltimore City Community College. He retired as a welder at Bethlehem Steel Corporation and a licensed CDL Driver.
Morgan accepted Christ and was baptized at his family church, Old Land Mark Baptist Church.
Morgan enjoyed reading western novels, playing bid whist and dominoes with family and friends. He also was a collector of trains and model cars.
The legacy of his life is left to his family: two devoted sisters, Portland Rucker and Brenda Minten: six brothers who precede him in death: Lonnie Jr., Anthony, Martin, Edward, Rogers, Michael and one sister who precede him in death Ianthia Eaton and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
