JAMES JORDAN(affectionately known as ' RIP or POP') the son of the late Willie and Reabie(Curbeam) Jordan, began his journey on September 17, 1946 in Blackstock, South Carolina. On Friday, January 22, 2016 God saw fit to call him home to be with the Lord.

James received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System. He worked at Henderson & Webb for twenty years as a Laborer Foreman until the department closed. He then went to work for Villa St. Michael which was renamed Future Care Lochearn. James took pride in his work and enjoyed working at Future Care, his commitment and dedication were remarkable. James retired from Future Care and shortly thereafter he returned on a part time basis until his health failed him.

James was a devoted husband, loving father, grandfather, great grandfather, brother and friend. James was VERY protective of his daughters and granddaughters and wouldn't hesitate letting anyone he encountered know it. His favorite pastimes were talking with neighbors, eating crabs and watching westerns. James made numerous friends wherever he went. He was a loving neighbor and devoted family man. James will be sincerely missed by everyone who knew him. We rejoice in knowing you will rest in peace. No more pain!

James was the fourth of seven children: one preceded him in death, Gary Roseborough.

James leaves to celebrate his life and cherish his memory, his wife of 45 years Thomasine Hursey-Jordan; six devoted children, Marva Hursey, Eric Hursey, Osie Hursey, Vivien Hursey, Yolanda Jordan-Cawthorn(Gregory Cawthorn), James Jordan(Nicole Jordan); fifteen grandchildren, Krystal, Jerod, Danielle, Shawda, Eric, Corey, Kiauna, Tawnesha, Johnathan, Dar'rell, Justin J., Kayla and preceded in death Tyrone & Taijah; five great grandchildren, Ke'Shawna, Erin, Da'Yonna, Erin H., Tristan; one brother, Joe Jordan; four sisters, Ann Jordan, Daisy Rhames(John Rhames), Dorothy Jordan, Reba Roseborough; one sister-in-law, Clarice Day(William Day); brother-in-law, Edward Ford(Tamika Wade); four godchildren, Nathaniel, April, Justin W., Brandy and a host of cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
