James Williams Jr., affectionately known as “Glue,” was born on November 23, 1953, in Baltimore, Maryland, to the late Margaret and James Williams. He departed this life on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Roland Park Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
James was educated in the Baltimore City Public Schools. He worked faithfully at Dietz and Watson as a packaging operator until his retirement.
Known for his loving and kind spirit, James enjoyed playing chess and cards, cheering for his favorite football team—the Pittsburgh Steelers, and traveling to Atlantic City. He also found joy in good food, especially Peddi’s fried chicken and fish.
James was preceded in death by his only son, Chino Williams; one brother, Bobby; three sisters, Barbara, Betty, and Mary; and three nephews, Derrick, Dante, and Demetrius.
He leaves to cherish his memory: two daughters, Latwanda Williams and Takia Williams; sister, Ann (David Small); his brother, Thomas Carey; six grandchildren, Lee, Lashea, LeQuan, Zion, Ronaya, and Kai; four great-grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and friends; and his devoted, loving partner, Ansocoee, better known as “Peddi.” James’s presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will forever live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
