JAMES AUTHER CLOWNEY was born on January 18, 1945 to the late Martha and Andy Clowney.

James received his education at Dunbar Senior High School in Baltimore, MD. where he also played Basketball.

James rededicated his life to the Lord in 2003.

James loves his family dearly. He loved to watch sports and to see a good dance. During the holidays, James would come baring gifts to make the season 'BRIGHT'. He would have special request for his sisters to make his favorite dishes such as spaghetti, cornbread stuffing, potato salad and he loved his nephews Eric's seafood salad.

James was a dedicated hard worker. He started working at the age of 19 until he was 71 years old. He worked for Gerber until he departed this earthly life.

Preceding him in death: His mother and father: Martha and Andy Clowney; daughter, Rhonda Clowney; brothers, Ike, William, Andrew and Bernard Clowney; sister, Isabelle Clowney and three nephews.

He leaves to cherish his precious memory: daughter, Whitney Downey; son, James Clowney Jr.; sisters, Nancy Harrington and Patricia Brown; brothers-in-laws, Grayling Harrington and James Brown Sr., uncle, John R. Clowney; aunts, Rose Marie Clowney and Ann Clowney, nephews, James Harrington, Gary Wallace, Kevin Clowney, Tyrone Bailey, Dion Privette and James Brown Jr., nieces, Telacy Allen and Kim Holmes, sixteen great nieces and nephews, eight great nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.
