JAMES E. CENTURY, affectionately known as James Dancing Machine Bron Century entered the world on April 2, 1950, to the late Irene and Cleveland Century in Bishopville, SC. He received his education through the public school system in Bishopville and later attended Job Corps in Maryland. Throughout his life, James took on various construction jobs, but his true passion lay in Black Top Jobs. In 1971, he married the love of his life. Estella Century, who sadly preceded him in death. Together, they had three wonderful daughters: Shrinda (married to Terrence Fossett), Latonya, and Charletta. James will be fondly remembered by his three lovely daughters.
With a legacy that continues to shine, James leaves behind 12 cherished grandchildren: Nichelle, Denise, Precious, Laya, Joseph, Devonte, Lashawn, Shatia, Ttion, Jaquin, Chenethia and Barbara. His family further expands with 16 grandchildren, including Narell, Chanel, Lil Joe, Bre'Shay, Khy-Lea, Ivori, Jayden, Jai, London, Faith, Nyla, Kash, Zinnia, Josiyah, Elijah and Wadell Kendall Harris, who sadly preceded him in death. Additionally, he is survived by 6 great-great-grandchildren; Imoni, Royal, Ka'hlani, Keylen, Dior, andDerrick. James also had 7 sisters-Eloise, Shirley Liz, Gloria, Nora, Parcilla, Alice-and two surviving brothers, Harry and Lovely Century, from Bishopville, SC, along with a multitude of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends who held him dear.
