James C. Taylor

JAMES CURTIS TAYLOR, the son of the late James and Luetta Taylor. Curtis was born on November 22, 1928, in Lunenburg County, Virginia. Curtis was the oldest of five children.

He was fondly known to his family and friends as "Pops", Curtis, Mr. Taylor, or Taylor. He loved going fishing. hunting, working on cars, and playing his guitar. He also enjoyed driving around the city in his truck to collect junk and working in his garden.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Thomas; five siblings and son James Taylor, Jr. (Wick).

He leaves to mourn three daughters; Doris Brown, Brenda Freeman and Karen Taylor- Pulley (Marvin); two sons, Robert Taylor (Veronica), and Keith Taylor; bonus children, Michael Hollis, Doris Byrd, Shirley Thomas, William Thomas, Earl Thomas and Corinda McLean (three of them preceded him in death).
