James R. Battle

James Ronald Battle was born October 30, 1948 to the late Hattie Lenora, and Robert Brodus Battle

He peacefully departed this life on July 22, 2022

He graduated from Dunbar High School and attend Coppin State University on a Basketball scholarship.

He worked for The Department of Services pursuing his passion of assisting the people of Baltimore for many years.

He enjoyed television, joking and making people laugh.  Ronald accepted Christ as his savior at an early age.

One of his final quotes was “I’m the BEST grandfather EVER, and I LOVE my GRANDKIDS

James was proceeded in death by Denise Battle and Donnell Brockington

Ronald leaves to cherish his memory 2 daughters Chan’tel (Candi) and Deonna, 3 sons Elgin, Michael and George, 12 grandchildren Dominic, Tylar, Quantaye, Lashaye, Keven Kamron, Destiny, Corei, Kaiden,  Khalil, Donya, and Tayshia and 2 great grandchildren, Karson, Damari.  3 sisters Gloria Mae Francis (North Carolina)  Emma Ruth Diver and Janice Graham (Baltimore) 2 brothers Lewis Battle (Mary) Benjamin Battle (Priscilla) and sister in-law Maxine Battle and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
