Hazel C Daughton

HAZEL COREEN DAUGHTON, affectionately known as "Moma" was born on April 21, 1972 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on October 24, 20224, after a lengthy illness. She is preceded in death by her mother, Lola Banks.

At an early age, Hazel accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior and was baptized at Antioch Church of God Apostolic where she enjoyed many religious activities while serving the church.

Hazel was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System from grade school through high school.

She was later employed with Baltimore City Schools System Environmental Services Department, before she medically retired in 2009.

Later in life, Hazel met and married the love of her life, Melvin Louis Daughton. The two of them were inseparable and shared many memories. They enjoyed traveling, watching Ravens football, and playing cards together.

Hazel loved her family and enjoyed cooking for family and friends. She enjoyed spending quality time with her family and enjoyed the company of friends. She made numerous friends wherever she went and will be missed by everyone who knew her.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband, Melvin; step-daughter, Cantrist (Shawn); father, Mallie T. Jones Jr.; siblings, Leroy Jr. Janice (Matt), Linda, Roosevelt (Angelita), Von (Cheryl), Valisha, Trent and Yvette (Donte); step-grandchildren, Shawn Jr. and Tyler, along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other close relatives and friends.
