HARRY DAVIS, son of the late Johnny and Evelyn Davis, was born on September 09, 1945, in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the oldest of four siblings, the late Herman Austin, Arney Davis, Diane Davis and Earlene Johnson. He was called home suddenly by God's angels on Tuesday, August 2, 2022. He was a loving and devoted husband, father, grandfather and friend to all that knew him. Harry's journey began in Baltimore, Maryland. He attended Baltimore City Schools. He accepted Christ at an early age. Harry and his mother were faithful, loyal and dedicated members of Memorial Baptist Church in Baltimore City. He was a spiritual man who loved the Lord with all his heart. During his walk-in-faith, he was known on every occasion to wear his "I love Jesus" hats to match his outfits in all colors.
On April 5, 1986, Harry's world change when he married Emma Royster (the love of his life). Out of this union, Christina Davis was born. In addition, he loved, cared and raised five daughters, two sons and two grandchildren. He had one daughter (Harriet Davis) that preceded him in death. Harry started as a volunteer at Baltimore City Public Schools. He enjoyed giving back to his community. Due to his hard work and commitment, he was hired as a custodian worker. He became a role model for the students at Gwynns Fall Elementary School. Harry retired from Baltimore City Public Schools on March 1, 2016.
For many years, Harry had battled with several health issues. Although hospitalized, his faith in God continued to grow stronger each day. He was a true soldier of God living on this earth. He loved to cook, clean and take care of everyone he knew. He always had a warm smile that made you feel welcome when he greeted you. He enjoyed going to the movies, dining out and attending family events.
Harry was a man of God, who was dedicated, devoted, loving, caring and faithful to his wife and best friend, Emma.
Harry leaves to cherish his memory: wife, Emma Davis; brother-in-law, Thomas Lee Royster; son, Jermaine Little; daughter, Christine Davis; step-daughters, Judy Johnson, Joyce Fulgham, Anita Smith & Angela Byers; step-sons, Michael Crapper Jr; son-in-laws, Tommy Johnson & Craig Smith; grandchildren, Dominique Davis, "Little" Harry Davis, Dayonda Davis, Taeona Jacobs, Jermiane Little Jr. & Heavenly Little; great grandchildren, Viyae Avery, Steven Rich III and Karsyn Lawrence; he also leaves behind a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
