GREGORY MANIGO SR., son of the late George Manigo Sr. and Lillian Fowlkes, was born on January 18, 1954, in Baltimore, Maryland. He made his transition suddenly on November 7, 2024, at Johns Hopkins Bayview Hospital.
Gregory, affectionately known as "Beanie", was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. Gregory was an entrepreneur at heart. Even when gainfully employed, he was also his boss. One of his business ventures was a snowball and candy truck. The kids loved to see him coming. He would often give things away when they did not have money. He also loved working on cars. He was a staple mechanic at Rufus Service Station in Cherry Hill. Gregory also worked for the Department of Sanitation, he drove an oil truck and a tow truck. Frankford Towing most recently employed him until he was injured on the job.
Gregory loved spending time with his family and eating good food! After any family function, he had his aluminum pan to take home. You were guaranteed to get a laugh in his presence, no matter the occasion. Gregory was one of our family comedians. He will be greatly missed.
Gregory leaves to cherish his memories two sons, Gregory Manigo, Jr. and Craig Manigo and one bonus son, Robert Parker Sr; one bonus daughter, Jataya Riley; eight grandchildren, Craig Manigo, Jr., Kamiya Manigo, Javin Manigo, Caden Manigo, Kacey Manigo, Robert Parker Jr.,Jamal Parker and Miya Parker; sisters, Mary Truesdale, Annette Manigo-Massey and Elaine Manigo; brothers, Robert Manigo, Michael Manigo Sr., Andre Manigo and Darrell Manigo and a host of loving family and friends.
