Listen to Obituary

GLORIA G. WILLIAMS, daughter of the late Mary Johnson and James Kenon, was born February 17, 1943 in Baltimore, Maryland. She was called home to eternity on April 11, 2023.

Gloria was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System and attended Dunbar High School. For many years Gloria was employed at Johns Hopkins Hospital in the Laundry Room, later becoming a stay at home mom raising her kids.

Gloria was an Extraordinary Lady with many, many qualities from mix blend of garments for fashion to making the pots sing in the kitchen and boy did she make them sing, with her outgoing personality she was a mother figure to all with open arms.

Gloria was a mirrored mother child to her late mom "Mary Johnson", where she was given the nickname "Globie". Globie met the late Melvin Williams and married him in 1966 where he became the love of her life of 51 years. Globie was a family oriented woman, that didn't play around when it was concerning any of them; she also loved her Circle Members as well, that she visited often (ask around they knew her) "Globie" that name rang differently; Globie most proudest moment was when her son Reggie was drafted to the NBA...

"Pride of Joy"                                                                                                                                                                                                                                 Globie will be truly missed and forever remain in our hearts. We will surely miss her here on earth but we know in our heart of hearts that her love and spirit will always be here with us. Her late husband Melvin Williams, proceeded her in death, she will leave behind on e daughter, Veronica Williams; five sons, Timothy Clifton, Reginald Williams, Melvin Williams, Anthony Williams, Ivan Williams; four daughters-in-laws, Stephanie Williams, Kathy Williams, Gloria Ragin, Sandra Stewart; grand children, Shawnta, Nikara, Shannon, Tim, Lil Reggie, Anthony Jr. Jazzmyme, Ivan Jr., LaDonna, Devin, Jamal, Iquille, Riyan, Stephon, Asia, Ricardo, Nahjeeh, Iyon, Darius, Treshawn, Qualil and Niarra; great grandchildren, Jordan, DeShawn, Chasyse, Kaiden, Summer, Denim and Sebastian; four brothers, Calvin Kenon, Robert Johnson, Gray Johnson and deceased brother James Johnson; two sisters, deceased Hoppee Foster Harding and Iola Finch; one brother-in-law, Sterling Finch Sr; five sister-in-laws, Pat Kenon, Jennifer Johnson, Bythella Johnson, Donnie Johnson and Wanda Johnson; and a host of other favorite cousins, relatives and friends.
