GEORGE WILBERT THOMAS, born on January 15, 1928 in Blackstone, Virginia. George was born to the late John and Rebecca Thomas.
He received his education in the Baltimore City Public School System and graduated from Dunbar High School. George decided to join the military branch of the Army and was a member of Mason Club # 285 in Baltimore, Maryland. He worked numerous jobs and retired from the Maryland Club. George loved to go fishing, hunting, take care of his fish tanks and playing cards while talking trash. He always loved helping others until his health started to interfere.
George married Louise Stewart on November 17, 2006 and through this union it joined two families together.
George was an outgoing person, a loving husband and father, a great brother, grandfather, uncle, brother-in-law and friend.George quietly went home to be with the Lord on October 12, 2017.
George leaves to cherish her memory: His wife Louise Stewart-Thomas, siblings Lorraine Carter (NY) & Theodore Thomas (Blackstone, VA), his loving daughters, Maxine Thomas (Robert), Barbara Thomas, Audrey Allen (Tyrone Sr.), Gloria Thomas, Beatrice Thomas, Carolyn Thomas-Stewart (Kenneth), Dalene Holmes, Anthony Holmes, Karen Holmes, Calvin Holmes, Michael Holmes (Linda), grands, great-grands, great great grands and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Daughters preceded him in death, Bettie Mae Smith, Catherine Allen & Michelle Holmes.
