GARRETT LAMONT BOYD, son of Joyce M. Williams and the late Gayland Lee was born April 14, 1968 in Baltimore, MD. He transitioned from his earthly life suddenly on August 30, 2019.

Garrett also known as Man, VA, or Lil Virginia, gave his life to Christ at an early age and was baptized at the Mt. Carmel Baptist Church by the late Rev. Oscar Stancil. He served on the children's choir for many years. While traveling with the family group; The Travelers Gospel Singers, a group for the younger kids was formed as The Gospel Eight, which Garrett was a member. In later years the group was reformed as The United Gospel Singers.

Garrett met Juanita "Nina" Williams and one child was born. He later met and married Barbara Ann Boyd, from this union four children were born. Preceded him in death his wife; Barbara A. Boyd; father, Gayland Lee; step-father, Stephen Williams; and step-son, Marcus Evans.

Garrett worked numerous jobs throughout his lifetime, most recent was Bounty Hunter and the Construction Field. He had many associates and a few that he would call friends.He was definitely a family oriented person, he would do anything to help anyone in need and didn't hesitate to handle any situation that involved his loved ones. he will truly be missed by so many people.

He leaves to cherish his memories; mother, Joyce Williams; sons, arrett Boyd Jr., and Charles Boyd-McGaney; daughters, Shyphon Boyd, Tazra and Angelia Boyd-McGaney; grandchildren, Leonard Cochran, Laila Tnyinbor, Ja'leel and Tacorey Gilliam and Za'Riyah Flemings; brothers, Stephen and Cecil Williams, Gayladn Hyman, Brian Lee and Patrick Tatum; god brother, Eric Jones; sister, Constance Smith, Marie Jordan; aunts, Connie Green, Gloria Boyd, Joanne Boyd and Sheila Williams; uncles, Raymond and Harold Boyd(who proceeded him in death) sisters-in-law; April and Colethia Williams and Darlene Lee; close cousins, Dion Williams, Cortier Green and Demetric Farmer; close friends, Robert "Bip" Jackson and Richard "Buff" Waters; a host of nieces and nephews; a very dear and special friend, Evette Rowe, and his grandson that he loved, adored and took part in caring for Tyson Ray.
