Florine (Aka) Florean Wilson

FLORINE WILSON was born on April 25, 1943, in Baltimore, Maryland, and peacefully transitioned from this life on January 15, 2026. A lifelong resident of East Baltimore, Florine was a pillar of strength, love, faith and community to all who knew her.

Florine was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Mattie Lang & David Lang; her brothers, David Lang Jr., Harold Lang, Timothy Lang, and Marvin Hamilton; and her beloved grandson, Teion James.

She leaves to cherish her memory her devoted husband, Howard Wilson; her special friend, Mr. Leon West; her loving siblings, Gregory Lang, Gail Lang, Victoria Lang, Deloris Lang. Davretta Hayes, her three children, James Harris (Jacintha Harris), Claudette Porter James (Roland James), Tina Porter Hill (Frank Hill). She also leaves behind Maggie Green, her daughter in love, a very special nephew, Marko Lang, who held a dear place in her heart.

Florine's legacy continues through her grandchildren; Kevin Norris, Shawnta Rogers, Donetta Lindsay, Clinton Sellers, Todd Harris, Tavon Harris, Endia Travers, Kennisha Harris, Zachary Harris, Hezekiah Harris, Sapphire Harris, Zion Harris, Honesty Harris, Kimberlie Richardson, Antwan Harris, Dominic Kirkland, and Shawn Felder, along with more than 50 great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren. 

In addition to her biological family, Florine leaves behind a host of beloved individuals she lovingly embraced and treated as her own daughters, sons and grandchildren. Through her open heart and nurturing spirit, she created a large extended family bound not by blood but by love.

Florine dedicated many years of her life as a Day Care Mother, helping to raise, nurture and mold countless children and families. Her home was a place of warmth, laughter, structure, and love. She lived her life rooted in faith and maintained a personal relationship with God that carried her through every season.

Known for her vibrant personality, Florine loved life deeply. She loved to laugh, talk a little thrash and enjoy good company. Her kitchen was her ministry-she took pride in cooking and feeling everyone, especially during the holidays when her homemade sweet potato pies were a cherished tradition. In her quieter moments, she enjoyed watching old western movies, and in her younger years, she loved to dance and enjoy life to the fullest.

In her final moments, Florine shared with her family that she had lived a fun and fulfilling life. She expressed joy and peace, saying she was happy because she was able to see all of her grandchildren. These words brought comfort to her loved ones and reflected a life well lived and deeply loved.
