Listen to Obituary

EVONNE MARIE HILL-BUCKSON, was born May 19, 1961. The fourth of seven children, born to the late John and Nancy Hill. On Wednesday July 13, 2016, after a very short illness, God called her home to rest.

Evonne attended school in Baltimore, MD. graduating from Patterson High School in 1982. She worked in Public Service and Home Improvement. She had an exceptional eye for detail and home decorating.

Evonne was a person who had a beautiful spirit, devoted her life to her children and her grandchildren. Which she treated her children as a equal in order to avoid their responsibility of setting boundaries. She was a great listener, gave good advice and always said how she felt. She loved to cook, home decorate and was very fashionable. When you were around her, you can feel the happiness and enormous energy that she brought in the room. I still remember the beautiful day when she, her grandson and her two beautiful daughters shared a lovely day in church with smiles on their faces while they spent a Mother's Day praising the Lord.

Evonne met her husband in high school and married James Buckson on June 19, 1988. From this union two children, Tia & Brittney were born. One son, Jerwell and one stepson, Brandon.

Evonne leaves to mourn her earthly passing: two daughters: Tia and Brittney, one son, Jerwell; one step-son, Brandon, two grandchildren; Dion and Kylie; one sister, Margaret; one brother, Ronnie; eight sisters-in-law and four brothers-in-law, in addition to her parents, Nancy and John; Evonne was proceeded in death by her husband, James, four brothers, June, John, Steven and David; one sister-in-law, Bertha Bell and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
