ETHEL V. WILLIAMS was born to the late Alonzo McClellan and the late Inez C. Spicer on May 22, 1931 in Mecklenburg County, North Carolina.
God called Ethel, one of His loyal servants, to rest on July 25, 2016.
At an early age, Ethel was moved to Baltimore with her family. She was educated in the Baltimore City Public Schools and graduated from Dunbar High School. Ethel was active in school growing up. She was also active at Fountain Baptist Church. She joined and was baptized at Fountain Baptist Church under the pastorship of the late Rev. Dennis Barrow.
Ethel was united in marriage with the late David Williams who departed this life January 5, 2012. They had been married for sixty years. From this
union, two sons, David M. Williams and Ishaka-Ra-Hannibal-El were born and two granddaughters, Dayna S. Williams and Siddeequah I. Williams.
Ethel was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother and much more. After graduating from high school she was employed by and returned to
the classrooms of Baltimore City Public Schools where she worked until retirement. She was active all of her life in school, church and various civic organizations. At church, Fountain Baptist Sunbeam Club Youth and Senior Missionary, youth and adult choirs and she could always be counted on to do her part in various programs and committees such as Family Day and various anniversary committees. Her civic activities included participation and membership, the Dunbar Alumni, Eastside Community Committee, NAACP life member.
Ethel enjoyed working alongside her husband in their garden which produced fresh fruit.
Ethel was preceded in death by her father who helped raise her with her mother, Inez C. Spicer; loving husband, David Williams; sisters, Dorothy
Rich and younger sisters, Sarah Hawkins and Beatrice Reed.

N.C. and Siddeequah I. Williams; nieces and nephews, Sharon B. Williams, Kennard S. Hawkins and Jonathan D. Hawkins; great-nieces, Kim
A. Gilliam and Chantel Faidley; aunt, Eva West of Nanjemoy, Maryland; brother-in-law, Arthur S. Moss of Teaneck, New Jersey; and great-nieces,-nephews, other relatives and friends.
