Eltwana R. Purnell

ELTWANA R' TERRIA PURNELL, the beloved daughter of Eltwana Richard and Gregory T. Purnell, was born on February 25, 1988 in Baltimore, Maryland. The Lord called her home, to her eternal rest on August 25, 2022. Eltwana received her education in the Baltimore City Public School System and graduated from Mergenthaler High School. Eltwana went to American Beauty Academy, where she fell in love with doing hair and makeup. Eltwana accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age. She was then baptized at Cornerstone Church of Christ at the age of 8 years old. Eltwana was a member of Mount Pleasant Church and Ministries.

On April 12, 2010, Eltwana gave birth to a beautiful baby girl named Israel Elisha Purnell. Israel was and will always be the joy of Eltwana's life. She did a wonderful job raising her, along with their dog Coby.

Eltwana affectionately known as "Pooh" "Elle Mae" and "Lil Eltwana" had many gifts and talents. She would volunteer for the Special Olympics Worldwide and would meet up with her brother Jerry, to assist him with those activities. She loved their bonding time during those events. Eltwana loved to cook and tell jokes; she held back no punches and was always in somebody's business, to give them her opinion. Eltwana was a straight shooter just like her grandmother Betty Purnell, but she meant no harm. She was also a giving person, just like her grandmother Brenda Johnson.

Eltwana will live forever in the hearts of her beloved family. She leaves to cherish her memories: one daughter. Israel Purnell; her mother, Eltwana Richard, father Gregory Purnell; one sister Tyra; two brothers, Jerry and Tyrone; grandmother Brenda Johnson; one niece Faith; one nephew, Belair; six uncles, Tyus, Keyon, Cliff, Stephen (Marcina), Eric and Grayling; three aunts, Tavon, Merrial and Terry. She also leaves to cherish; two godmothers, Cula Settlers and Omitris Jeter; one godfather, William Summerville; three bestfriends, De'Ja (godson Robbie), Cieara and Tieara and a host of other family and friends. Eltwana was preceded in death by her grandmother Betty Purnell.
