On July 19, 1981 the late Egan Davis, Sr. and his wife Penny Davis gave birth to a beautiful baby Boy, Egan W. Davis, Jr. He departed this life very sudden and unexpectedly on March 5, 2021.
Egan received his education from Baltimore City Public Schools and was a proud graduate of Patterson High School. Soon after, he continued his quest for knowledge for a short while at Morgan State University. While at M.S.U. he became employed and continued to hold numerous other jobs. In 2018, Egan achieved his goal of becoming a business owner. Along with his sister Nastassjia, they opened a convenience store in honor of their late Dad, Big E.
As well all know, Egan faced many challenges and obstacles in his short life. Ultimately, they shaped him into the loving, kind, no nonsense guy we all grew to love. His biggest accomplishment was being a father to his two prized possessions; the ones that stole his heart, Kristen Davis, and Egan Davis, III. There was no mountain too high that he wouldn’t climb for these two.
There was nothing Egan enjoyed more than hanging out and providing for his family. Whether it was sitting at the foot of his mother’s bed talking for hours, breezing through a family function to kick it with cousins, taking the kids to lunch after school, or hitting up a party with Big Brother and Baby Sis. It was his honor to protect, provide, and spend quality time with his family. If he wasn’t spending time with family and friends, you could catch him working out, riding his motorcycle, or playing a good ole game of basketball. I don’t know what we’ll miss the most, your bright smile, infectious laugh, or a convo starting with what, what, what, what, what’s up with yooooou - in my stuttering Egan voice.
Egan leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoting mother Penny Davis; wise and gentle grandmother, Sarah Bell; sweet children, Kirsten Davis and Egan Davis, III; big brother, Terrence Skinner; sisters, La-Kia Konimeren and Nastassjia Williams; big cousin/big brother’ Marlon Johnson; and nephew/protégé Shawn Barnes Jr.; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
