Edwin Phillip Moody, son of the late Edward Grant Moody and Elnora Evans Moody was born on August 7, 1963 in Baltimore, Maryland. On December 13, 2024, God saw fit to call Phillip home and grant him his Heavenly wings.

After graduation, Phillip decided to join the United States Army. His dedication to his country was unwavering as he proudly served in the U.S. Army from 1981-1984 earning various commendations.
