EDNA ABRAM, 86 gained her wings on January 17, 2025 due to complications from heart disease. Born on June 28, 1938, in East Baltimore to the late Moses and Lessie Fitzgerald, she was a fraternal twin affectionately know as "Sista Abram."
She married her late husband, Arnell Abram Sr., on March 17, 1956, and together they had eight children. After living in New Jersey for several decades, Edna returned to Baltimore in 2012, settling at the Basilica Place Senior Community and joining New Unity Baptist Church.
Edna was a beacon of love, strength and selflessness, always offering compassion and care to those in need. She made everyone feel cherished and heard. She enjoyed Westerns, WWF Wrestling, crocheting and spending time sitting outside. Known for her stylish Sunday hats and home decor influence, Edna enjoyed often ending conversations with her signature "Later."
Her unwavering faith and sarcasm carried her through life's challenges, even during her illness. She often said, "God got me," and found peace in gospel melodies and prayer. She would end conversations with "Talk witcha Later" because "goodbye" was so final. Even in her last moments, you could hear her whisper, "I'm all right...I'm ok", Later", as visits ended. Edna leaves behind a legacy of love, faith and resilience.
