Listen to Obituary

Earlene Cartwright was born February 10, 1934 to the late Francis and Viola Hall.  On September 21, 2020 God whispered “Well done my good and faithful servant.”

Earlene was educated in the Baltimore City Public School system.  She worked vigorous hours at My Cleaning Service.  She met and married the late Eugene A. Cartwright, Sr. and the union produced 5 children.  Earlene already had a daughter before her marriage. Then she decided to devote her life to her children and grandchildren. Her family meant everything to her.  Earlene was known for her spicy tongue.  She had no problem expressing her mind with anybody.  On her many hospital visits, she always took goodies to the Doctors and Nurses who cared for her.  If she liked you, you had a friend for life.

Earlene leaves to cherish her memory four daughters: Viola Brown, Thelma Powers, Pamela Cobb and Frances Cartwright: seven grandchildren: Tonya Banks, Eugene D. Cartwright, Latarsha Johnson, Leslie Johnson, Shirelle Coates, Pauliesha Powers and Steven Cobb, three great grandchildren: Cortez Morgan, Ni’jayais Morgan and Ty’on Matthews, one sister Emma Mont, one daughter in-law Wanda Cartwright, one son in-law Reginald Powers, two special sisters in-love: Pearl Alston and Barbara Baker and a host of nieces, nephews and many caring life-long friends.  She was proceeded in death by two sons Eugene A. Cartwright, Jr. and Gregory Cartwright, six brothers, Ellsworth Northern, Lester Hall, Leonard Hall, William (Bubby) Hall, Ralph Hall and Roland Hall, two sisters: Frances Cornish and Lenora (Sissy) Hall.
