Donte Martin

DONTE MARTIN, native Baltimorean, was the firstborn son born to Sherreice Johnson on January 11, 1987.

A graduate of Southern High School, Donte was one who demonstrated his love and devotion, as the oldest of four brothers and sisters, in his strong character; speech; his passion for dance; his cooking; and his ability to decorate.

he would often be found teaching dance to the neighborhood children as well as to his siblings.

Being brought us in a home where Christ was taught, Donte received Christ as his personal saviour after attending the services at East Baltimore Deliverance Church with his grandmother on different occasions. His gift of gab was often said to be preaching that which was instilled in him.

Donte possessed a wonderful spirit and was willing to help anyone in need whenever he could.

Donte was called home to rest on June 21, 2019 after a lengthy illness. He will be truly missed by all who knew and loved him.

Donte leaves to mourn his loving mother, Sherreice Johnson, his estranged father, Gary Martin, Sr.; four brothers, Gary Martin, Jr.; Tony Jackson and Maurice Boston; one sister, Maurshay Boston; one very special aunt, Tamira (Yannie) Blair; his great-grandmother, Vernice Johnson; his grandmother, Betty Walker; his uncles; Teddy Johnson, Barry Johnson, Jeffrey Johnson, Vernon Jones, Steven Walker and Shaq Boston; five aunts; Elaine Johnson, Janice Singleton, Delores Jones, Evelyn Jones and Elizabeth Jones and a host of cousins relatives and friends.

Donte was preceded in death by his great grandparents, the late Evelynn (Lena) Jones and the late Barry Johnson who he had a special relationship with.
