Diana Cates

DIANA CATES, was born to the late Novella and George Cates on February 20, 1951. In Baltimore, MD. After a lengthy illness she departed this life on November 24th, 2019. Diana was educated in Baltimore City Public Schools. She then met the love of her life Harrison Boardley, out of that union produced Harrison Boardley Jr. and Barbara A. Boardley. Diana lived a simple life. She was a devoted mother to her children. She began employment with Broadway Services housekeeping. Stationed out of  Bayview.

She was faithful in her relationship with God, attending Israel Baptist Church. Diana also made sure her children attended Sunday School. Diana had a fondness for music, singing and dancing. She found pleasure in entertainment. She also took delight in playing the Maryland lottery which she affectionately called "playing her numbers" in hopes of hitting big.

Diana, leaves to cherish her memory, her children Harrison and Barbara Boardley. Her grandchildren Shakeena L. Whiting, William Christian III, Shakayla Boardley, Harrison Boardley III.Muhammad Saleem Rahim Jr. great grandson Tyson Boardley and a new addition we have yet to meet. Her sisters Loretta Cates and Gloria S. Rowlette, brother Ronald "Ronnie" Cates, niece Lawaun Denise Rowlette and nephew Derrick Cates. As well as a host of other great nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Preceding her in death her parents Novella and George Cates, brothers George "Pete" Cates, Albert "Shorty" Cates and Rickey Cates.
