Desiree’ Shantell Boyd was born February 24th, 1984 at Johns Hopkins Hospital to the Late Tanya Travis and Darnell Boyd. She departed this life in the presence of her loving family on May 3rd, 2024. She was 40 years old.
“Reddy” as she was affectionately known by family and friends loved life and loved her family dearly. She knew no family was perfect, they argue, they fight, they even stop talking to each other sometimes, but in the end family is family…the love will always be there. The love of her family was one of her life's greatest Blessings.
She faced many health issues and fought for her life in a way that many people wouldn’t understand. Yes, she was a fighter and never let anything get in her way or slow her down.
Desiree’ attended Baltimore City Public Schools and later graduated from Frederick Douglas High School in the 2002 - 2003 school year.
Due to her health issues, she was unable to work regularly but when she could she loved it. Her last place of employment was Walmart’s Port Covington location in South Baltimore.
She was enrolled in a culinary class where they taught her how to cook and bake. She enjoyed cooking and loved eating.
While attending culinary class she met Andre Brown and out of that union Kayla Angel Brown was born, her pride and joy. Kayla completed Desiree’s life and gave her joy all the time. Desiree described Kayla as her “Little Angel” The person she played with, laughed with, cried with and loved with her whole heart.
Desiree enjoyed life and was a fun-loving person that loved being around her family and friends. She loved holiday dinners, cookouts and cousins' nights.
Reddy we will cherish the memories that we have of you and we will always remember your amazing life.
