Dennis 'Ibby' Taylor, the son of Ruth Sneed and the late William Sneed (Samuel Winder, Sr.)was born on August 29, 1944 in Baltimore, Maryland. He departed this life on July 28, 2015.
Ibby received his education in the Baltimore City School System and was a proud graduate of the Paul Lawrence Dunbar High School. On February 18, 1967, he married his childhood friend, Linda Blue and out of that union produced two children: Deneen and DeNita.
Ibby was employed by the William's Pharmacist Drug Store and Continental Can. At the age of 23 Ibby opened his first business; Kozy Korner Record Store on Wolfe Street. He expanded his business ventures and opened a second location in Northwood Shopping Center. Eventually, he also took ownership of the Northwood Card and Gift Store.
Ibby loved his cars and took pride in keeping them shiny and clean. He also enjoyed spending time with his friends and regularly met with them on Sundays at some of his favorite restaurants which included the Golden Corral and The Bel-Loc diner. In a weekly ritual, Ibby would stop at his mother's house and have dinner.
Ibby was a great handy-man and was frequently called on to install or fix a household item. He also had a special affinity for country music. If you knew Ibby, you knew a natural light was close by.
Ibby leaves to cherish his memory, his loving and devoted wife of 48 years Linda; two daughters; Deneen and DeNita; six grandchildren; Dwaine, Christian, Done't, Dominique, Dashawn and Daijah; four great-grandchildremn; Dylan, K'Lynn, Ryan and Cori; granddog; Rakia; his loving mother, Ruth; three brothers; Parris(Patricia), Terrance and Kevin(Cherae); two brothers proceeded him in death; Donald Winder and Samuel Winder Jr.; brother-in-law, Charles(Yvonne), god-son; Randy Anderson; special friends Bobby, Cooper, Hopkins, Jo-Jo, Sidney, Carter, Skeeta and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Ibby will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
