This is my story as written by my sister for such a time as this, my sister has always known my thoughts..family and friends, if you are reading my obituary, I have already transitioned those celestial shores spoken in the Word of God. The streets are paved with gold "imagine that", loved ones are here also, the beauty of this is indescribable and unimaginable. The trees are for the healing of nations and for everyone. It is the most majestic, glorious, loving, wonderful and unimaginable bliss ever, you the most wonderful experience of all is meeting my Savior and Lord Jesus..He is everything and all things! We have read about in the Holy Word of God (The Bible) The half has not been told of the splender of the Lord and His wisdom. Jesus is indecribable. He is pure, he is love, it is my desire that you meet me here. When its time to rein and rule forever.
In the early afternoon, on Thursday November 3, 2022. I was called into Heaven and peacefully transitioned to be with the presence of the Lord. I, Dennis Lamont Streat, son of the late Carlie and Delores Streat born one of a twin on November 29, 1955, in Baltimore, Maryland. I had three sisters; Carlette, Denise and the late Deborah Streat and one brother Stevie. I attended and graduated from Baltimore City Public Schools System and worked in several positions in my life span Baltimore City School System, Department of Sanitation for Baltimore City and lastly Milton Tillman Associates in Baltimore City.
My time spent at the shop on Edison Avenue with my best friend Geraldine McClarin, Nick, Marlon and so many others gave me great joy. Just for the record I regret any and all pain I may have caused in the life choices that I may have made to my family and friends (forgive me).
Jesus is Lord of the glory of God don't delay give your heart to him, no one can come here except you're be born of God. Family and friends don't miss Heaven! Mommy, I love you dearly, Twin (twinkle toes) I am going you miss you, I want you to keep my half of myself always with you and your heart, to my sister Carlette "you already know"..my love for you will remain scared and genuine. "Thank you Sis" (affectionally known as the Warden) for the tough love, patience, unconditional love and support. I have attended many wonderful ministries, but it wasn't until I attended Mt. Carmel Baptist Church, and I experienced God's intimacy. Worshipping with my cousin Minister Christine Gilliard and friends gave me the spiritual support needed for growth, Bishop Gilliard I am eternally grateful for you invested in me spiritually and socialjy. I have no sorrow because to be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord! Everyone over "East" you already know, your boy is going to miss you. My love is forever old school.
