Delores D. Harris was born on February 11, 1955, to the
late Alexander Smith and June Smith in Baltimore,
Maryland. She transitioned from this life on July 31, 2017
after battling a brief illness.
Delores was educated in the Baltimore City Public School
System. She was a hardworking woman who held down
several jobs over the years. She worked as the
housekeeping supervisor at Morgan State University for
several years and last worked at Rick's Housing before she
took ill.
Delores loved spending time with family and friends, her
daughters and grandchildren especially. She loved
traveling and going to the casinos. Delores was a huge
animal lover and enjoyed cooking. She would feed anybody
in the neighborhood. She will be missed by all who
knew her.
Delores was preceded in death by her brother, Rodney
Smith; father Alexander Smith; mother, June Smith and
her late husband, Ervin C. Harris.
Delores leaves to cherish her memory: two daughters,
Jeanine Ratli- and Erika Harris; three sisters, Patricia
Smith, Coralee Smith and Adrian Banks; one son in-law,
Ricky Ratli-, Sr.; three granddaughters, Lanika Hines,
Rakiya Ratli- and Aurikshauna Ratli-; two grandsons,
Ricky Ratli-, Jr. and Jordan Ratli-; three great grandchildren,
Dahkota Eaton, Devin Boyd and Marlow Central; one
sister in-law, Virginia Moore; a very devoted boyfriend and
companion, Howard Fitzgerald; four aunts, one uncle and
a host of cousins other relatives and friends.
