DELNORA YVETTE BAILEY(Nee-Lipscomb) was born in Baltimore, Maryland on March 6, 1963 to the late Mary Johnson and the late Davis Lipscomb. After a brief illness, she peacefully transitioned to her eternal home on May 11, 2016.
From an early age, Delnora(or Del, as she was affectionately known), was a high achiever. She received her early education in the Baltimore City Public School System. She graduated from Northwestern High School and later matriculated at the Strayer Business School.
In her early adulthood, Del loved working weekends at her fathers Cab Company(Royal Cab). She was a diligent, dedicated and arduous worker. During her tenure at the Cab Company, Del met the love of her life, Carl William Bailey, Sr.
On September 26, 1996, Del and Carl were united in Holy Matrimony. Their union was blessed with two sons, David and James DeShawn(Shawn). Del loved caring for her family. As a Stay-At-Home Mom, Del went above and beyond the call of duty for her family and friends. She also enjoyed bowling with her husband and friends. In her later adulthood, Del returned to the work force and was employed at Johns Hopkins Hospital for 13 years.
Del was a happy and fun-loving woman. She had an electrifying smile that will forever remain with all that met and knew her. She had an overall zest for life and people. She leaves a lasting imprint on the lives she touched and will be sorely missed.
In God's heavenly kingdom, Del now joins love ones that preceded her in death. Her father, Davis Lipscomb; her brother, Kenneth Lipscomb; her step-daughter, Tamara Bailey; her loving husband, Carl William Bailey, Sr., and her mother, Mary Johnson.
Del's loving memories will be cherished by her sons, David and Shawn Bailey; one step-daughter, Zerita Bailey; four step-sons Carl, Jr., Carl, III, Marlon and Damont; one grandson, Amani Bailey; numerous other grandchildren; three sisters, Myra Shelton, Carolyn Lloyde and Dayna Lipscomb; three step-sisters, Tara(Nikki)Johnson, Gussie Singletary and Cosette Singletary; one step -brother, Daryle; one sister-in-law, Zandra Lipscomb; adopted daughter, Lakeisha Mickey and her son Antonio Johnson; and a host of other aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
