DEBORAH ELIZABETH SMITH-PILSON, deeply loved and richly blessed, daughter of Emanuel Smith and the late Mozelle E. Smith was born on May 16, 1966, in Baltimore, Maryland and was called to her eternal resting place on Friday evening June 7th, 2024.

Debbie as she was affectionately known, graduated from Northern High School in Baltimore, Maryland in 1984 and decided to follow in her mother's footsteps and attended Morgan State University where she received her Bachelor of Science degree in Telecommunications in 1988.

Debbie was employed with Social Security Administration for 30 plus years doing what she loved, she excelled in her career until she retired in July of 2021.

Debbie married Michael G. Pilson on August 7th, 1998. This union was full of love and laughter.

Debbie accepted Christ at an early age in her life and attended Southern Baptist Church where she was highly active, she was a part of the junior usher board, youth choir and she was a girl scout as well as the Senior Usher Board, she was a youth advisor.

Debbie had a real zest foe life, and she loved fashion, you always seen Debbie with a smile that would light up a room when she walked through the door. She always had a word of encouragement when you needed it and loved spending time with her husband and her family. She was a beautiful soul that will truly be missed by her loved ones, but mostly by her husband Michael.

Debbie was a devoted sports fanatic, her love for sports was evident in every aspect of her life. Whether she was cheering from the sidelines, or passionately discussing the latest games with friends, her enthusiasm was contagious. She never missed an opportunity to support her Baltimore Ravens Team or Baltimore Orioles, her knowledge and love for the games were truly unparalleled. Debbie's presence will be deep0ly missed by all who knew and loved  her, especially during game days when her spirited cheers filled the room.

Debbie always said "In order to consider yourself a friend, you first must show yourself friendly", Debbie embodied this philosophy, always extending kindness, warmth and genuine care to everyone she met. Her friendships were built on a foundation of loyalty, generosity, and a sincere interest in others well-being. Debbie's ability to show true friendship touched countless lives, leaving a legacy of love and compassion. She will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough for her to call you her friend.

She was preceded in death by her, mother Mozelle E. Smith; one brother Daryle R. Smith Sr. and one stepsister Raynell Smith her father-in-law James J. Pilson, three brothers-in-law, James J. Pilson Jr., Andre Pilson, James Hardnett two sisters-in-law, Sharon Wyche and Sandra Pilson.

Debbie leaves to cherish her fond memory, her husband Michael G. Pilson, her father Emanuel Smith one brother Andre' Smith (Carmelita) one brother-in-law Donald Pilson (Patricia), two sisters-in-laws, Sylvia Hardnett and Janette Turner (Earl Turner) one goddaughter Lindsey Yik and a host of other relatives and friends.
