Debórah Lynn Richardson, daughter of the late Merlin Crawford and William Spicer, entered the world on January 24, 1955, in Baltimore, Maryland. She exited this world the morning of December 17, 2025, after a long physical illness.
Debórah (fondly known as "Debbie") received her education from Edmondson- Westside High School graduating in 1973. After graduation, she went on to work for both the Baltimore City Eastern District Courthouse and the East Baltimore Medical Center (1000 East Eager Street), where she was a medical assistant in the OBGYN department. She also served in the United States Army.
One day, a man named Earl Fogg stopped by to chat with Debbie and their mutual friend. He sat down on the stoop and Debbie, ever the crazy one, noticed a hole in Earl's ragged pants and began meddling with that ragged hole; a ragged hole on the pants of a man she just met. That impromptu flirtatious act would begin a relationship that lasted 35+ years with a marriage on June 6, 1981 and the birth of their only child and daughter Elysse Janée six years later on June 16th.
Per her decision to quit her job and become a stay-at-home wife and full-time mother, she showed for the next 40 years how to achieve and go above and beyond the requirements for both titles. From her loyalty as a wife, being by the side of her husband when he preceded her in death in November 2016, to being the greatest mother to the child she called with affection “my only”. That immense motherly love overflowed and influenced others who looked to her like a second mother.
She was not only an exceptional wife and mother, but also an exceptionally true friend. Even while quietly facing her own illness, she never stopped helping family and friends in need. Her humor and talkative spirit will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing her...and will be extremely missed.
She leaves to reunite with her husband the late Earl Jackson Fogg and leaves to mourn their beloved daughter, “her only”, Elysse Janée; two sisters Franchesca Spicer and Gwendolyn Spicer; one brother- in-law Bernard Fogg Sr; three sisters-in-law, Carole Hall, Gail and Sylvia Fogg; an immense host of nieces and nephews as well as great nieces and nephews; three great lifelong friends Joanne Radcliffe (the mutual friend whose stoop they first met on), Lillie Clark, and Thelma Alston; her "other onlys" Ashleigh Clark, Derrick, Dwayne, and Tracy Turrentine, for whom looked to her like a second mother, and last but certainly not least a great brigade of friends too many to specifically mention.
