DAVID LLOYD POLLARD II, son of the late David L. Pollard Jr. and Gloria Pollard was born on October 27, 1963 in Baltimore, Maryland. He was the second oldest child and the only son. David departed this life after a sudden illness on September 11, 2016.

The majority of the people knew him by the name ''Punchie''. Punchie received his education in the Baltimore City Public Schools. Punchie loved sports and played basketball in school. Football was also one of his favorite sports. He graduated from Lake Clifton High School in 1983.

Punchie started working at an early age. He worked numerous jobs. He had several construction jobs. He loved painting and helped fixed things for people. His true passion was going to all sporting games and events scalping tickets.

Punchie accepted Christ at an early age. He was a member of Southern Baptist Church. Punchie was an outgoing person that made friends wherever he went. He enjoyed life to the fullest, he loved his music and he loved to dance. He would always find ways to make you laugh. Some women called him the kissing bandit because he always greeted them with a peck on the their cheek. He would greet his friends with a hand shake, a big smile and a hug. he would always finish it with ''I love you''.

Punchie loved his family and friends. He would go out of his way to help others.

He leaves to cherish his memories, his loving mother, Gloria; his children, David III, Denise, Breona, Davia , Davonte and Lakisha; two sisters, Domeka Washington(Joseph III) and Fabaya Pollard; three uncles, Eugene Ayers, James Scott and Kashaka Olukayode(Sauda); one aunt, Doris Clifton; six grandchildren, Deson, Daquan, Codey, Brayden, Zoey and Dayden and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends included the Williams family, Dennis Taylor, Marcella Moore and Kenny Williams.
