Daryl R. Smith

DARYL RAMONT SMITH the son of Mozelle E. Smith and Emanuel Smith was born on June 6, 1967 in Baltimore, Maryland. After a short illness, he departed this life on April 15, 2022.

Daryl was baptized at an early age at the Southern Baptist Church, 1701 North Chester Street, Baltimore, Maryland, under the leadership of Reverend Nathaniel Higgs. He was a member of the Sunday School under Mrs. Sadie Jones and Mrs. Dorothy Anderson. Daryl was also an active member of the Junior Usher Board.

Daryl received his formal education from the Baltimore City Public Schools System. He graduated from Northern High School and completed two years of Social Work studies at Morgan State University in Baltimore, Maryland.

Daryl worked several years at Penny Savers, Sweetheart Cup Corporation as well as the Goodwill Industries. Daryl was an excellent worker and he was a fun person to work with; always making the employees smile. He loved life and he was always respectful and kind. He also loved sports, but he especially loved football.

Daryl is survived by his mother, Mozelle Smith and his father, Emanuel Smith; two sons, Dante' Smith and Daryl R. Smith, Jr.; one brother, Andre' Smith (Carmalitia); one sister, Deborah Pilson (Michael); one grandson, Eric Smith; one aunt, Erma Duncan and a host of other relatives, family members and many friends.
