Curstee Cunningham Townsend

Curstee Cunningham Townsend the beloved daughter of the late Gronia and Tolitha Cunningham was born on June 18,1931. She departed this life on January 15, 2022 at Holly Hill Nursing Home in Baltimore Maryland. She was known as Aunt T to all who knew her.

She attended public school in Roxboro, North Carolina.

She later met and married William E. Townsend; there were no children from this union. Her marriage to William E. Townsend ended in Divorce. She later moved to Baltimore, Md in 1958 with her daughter Ida Lee Cunningham.

She did factory and domestic work throughout her years. After retirement she enjoyed cooking, baking sewing, puzzles and going to the casinos. She enjoyed caring for her grandson, nieces and nephews. One would think her home was a nursery throughout the week. Aunt T made numerous friends she will truly be missed.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Ida Lee Cunningham; grandson, Stanley Reed Cunningham; three sisters, Magnolia, Odell and Esther; one brother, Jonah.

Aunt T leaves to cherish her memory three cousins, Estelle, Maryzelle and Doris; a whole host of nieces and nephews.
