Cornell A. Poole

Cornell Andre Poole was born on June 25, 1959 to the late Joseph and Florence Poole in Baltimore Maryland. His life ended on January 31, 2023.

Cornell better known as “Ike” and “Slice” he got the name Slice by his late son-in-law Christopher Hawkins.

Ikey, received his high school diploma at Fairmount Vocation High School, 1980.

He worked several jobs and, later started working with Baltimore City Public Schools for 25 years as a Bus Driver , then transferring to become a Mail Carrier until he,  retired on January 31st 2023. He was a dedicated working, well loved by everyone he came across.

Cornell Poole was baptized by Chaplain Sandy at ICU Mercy Hospital at his bedside, witness by wife Robin, Daughter Karen and his Sister-in-Law Lajuan Lockett.

From his marriage to Robin, Cornell was blessed with 2 beautiful children David, and Karen.  He was a dedicated father to his children and a father figure to everyone he met along the way especially his kids friends.  Ike was a  good provider, he made sure to protect you in every way he could.  He would follow his wife to work every morning before going to his job.

Cornell loved to travel, spending time listening to music, TV shows and entertaining his family and friends.  He loved watching football and baseball, but was a dedicated Ravens and Eagles fan. He made sure it was his business to make everyone happy and having a wonderful time where he had created his own bar in the basement so everyone could “PARTY”.

He was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Florence Poole; and 2 Sisters Debbie, Anna, and 1 brother Eric.

Cornell leaves to cherish his lovely wife Robin, Son David, and Daughter Karen.  His Grandchildren, David Jr., Meaghan, Mera, Morghan, Noah, and Jonah. 2 great grandchildren David lll and Dakia; his siblings Joseph Jr., Phyllis, Clarissa, Donald, Chris, and Joelle. Host of Nieces, Nephews and his favorite brother in-law Joesph and wife Lajuan Lockett; sister in-law Lavonne Lockett and 2 best friends Jerry and Peyton.  He was loved by all his family, friends, co-workers, and neighbors.
