Clay Daniel Kimball, son of the late Donald George Kimball and the late Laura Lyle Kimball, passed away on February 20, 2026, in Baltimore, Maryland.

 Born on January 26, 1951 in San Diego, CA, Clay attended Poway High School in Poway, CA, and Palomar College in San Marcos, CA. He earned his associate’s degree in engineering, and he worked at Martin Marietta as an electrical engineer for many years. He also worked as a lead abatement contractor for FEMA, as a home improvement property manager, and he served as an election judge in Baltimore City.

 Clay was a devoted, lifelong member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served his mission in Maryland and later moved back to Maryland, eventually settling in Baltimore City. He was married and sealed to his wife, Shirley Ann Bulls Taylor Kimball, for time and all eternity in Washington D.C. Temple of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints on April 8, 2006. 

Clay was passionate in his service to others, ever seeking opportunities to help. He cared tirelessly for the elderly members of the ward, and he never failed to bring a meal to those who were ill or home-bound. He loved children, and he was always happy when he served in Primary. 

He was the great, great grandson of Heber C. Kimball and Orson Pratt, and he was also related to Parley P. Pratt, the prophet Spencer W. Kimball, and many other prominent people from Church history. 

He was preceded in death by his brother Andrew. 

He is survived by his loving wife, Shirley; by his siblings Kim, Lauren, Deborah, Miriam, Elaine, and Hollie; by his children Laura, Daniel, Jennifer, and Emily; by his stepson Harvey Taylor; by his grandson Danté; his granddaughter Crystal, and his eleven other grandchildren.
