Claud W Wimbush

CLAUD WILBOR WIMBUSH, 78 was born March 7, 1946 in Pittsylvania County to the late James E. Wimbush and the late Bernice Thompson Wimbush. He departed this life on Monday, June 10, 2024 at John Hopkins Hospital.

He received his education at Southside High School in Blairs, Virginia.

He worked at Dan River Mills for several years and later moved to Baltimore, Maryland. He worked at CSI Support and Development until his departure.

He was a member of Fountain Baptist Church and of the Senior Usher Board.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Ural Wimbush and James Wimbush, and a great grandson, Brandon Isaiah Lee, Jr. Claud was the last survivor of his siblings.

He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife Dorothy Bradley Wimbush of Danville, Va. and out of this union three children were born, Claude (Marretta) Wimbush of Danville, Va., Prophet Gregory (Tramaine) Wimbush of Greensboro, NC. and Calvin Wimbush of Danville, Va., Marcus (Cristy) Luck of Danville, Va.; brother-in-law, Elder Elgin Bradley of Danville, Va. and a sister-in-law, Inez Saunders Wimbush of Martinsville, Va.; 20 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren, a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
