Clark C. Rorie

CLARK CORNELL RORIE , son of the late Clayton and Aretha was born on March 16, 1953 in Baltimore, Md. The Lord called him home into eternal rest on Tuesday, February 23, 2016.

Clark was the youngest of seven children. His brothers David and Larry preceded him in death. He was converted and baptized at the Friendship Baptist Church on Denison St. under the leadership of the late Rev. Preston Johnson. At the age of 10, the family moved to Newark, New Jersey where he graduated from Side High School. After graduation, Clark enlisted in the U.S. Army where he served for four years. After completing his tour of Military duties, Clark returned to New Jersey and joined the work force.

Clark met a young lady from Baltimore who stole his heart, Cheryl Denise Bell. They were married in September of 1977. Clark enjoyed spending time with his family and has a special bond with each of them. Clark loved children and often spent quality time with his nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.

Clark and Cheryl longed to have a family of their own. God blessed them with three special gifts, two sons Santaze and Corey and one daughter, Tyanna. His family was his world and he loved to spend time with them. During his life he held several jobs to help take care of his family. Clark was last employed by the federal government where he worked until his health started to fail.

Left behind to cherish his loving memories are, his wife Cheryl, three sons, Yasin, Santaze and Corey; one daughter, Tyanna; one granddaughter, Serenity; three sisters, Barbara Ann Shipman, Diretta Shipman and Marjorie Rorie; one brother, Clifton Rorie; two sister in-laws, Linda Bell and Deborah Armes; three brothers in-laws, Michael Palmer Sr. , Rodney Armes and Jason Bell; a best friend Phillip and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
