CINDY ROOKS, shined her light into this world on February 26, 1940, born to the late Julius and Florence Cooper in Baltimore, Maryland. The Lord called her home after a lengthy illness.
Cindy grew up in Baltimore, Maryland. She was educated in the Baltimore City Public School System. She worked as a Nursing Assistant at the House In The Pines Catonsville, MD. She also worked for Towson State University. Cindy was a loving mother who enjoyed cooking and watching old Western TV shows. She loved spending time with her family. She enjoyed coloring, painting. People enjoyed her friendship, every where she worked.
She possessed an undying love for her children, grandchildren and family. She enjoyed sharing her wisdom, often offering her children and grandchildren loving anecdotes that have stuck with them to this day. Cindy gave everybody she encountered love, hope and strength. She was as beautiful as her smile.
Now that she has fulfilled her assignment and her job is done. She is in glory with her parents, Julius and Florence Cooper, brothers Clarence, Garland and James Cooper, sister Ola May Felder; and son Thomas Rooks.
Cindy leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, John Rook, her children, Curtis, Cynthia, Anthony Rooks, and Jerome Brown, a host of grandchildren and great grandchildren, sister Mary Barbara White; daughter in law Sharron Taylor Rook and a host of nieces and nephews and other relatives and friends.
