Charlotte J Toney

CHARLOTTR J. TONEY, daughter of the late Morgan A. Toney and late Flossie Mae Hicks Toney, was born on April 9, 1952 in Baltimore, Maryland. She departed this life on September 2, 2017 after fighting lengthy illness.

Charlotte was educated in the Baltimore City School System, and graduated from Paul Lawrence Dunbar Senior High School in 1972. Charlotte was a hard worker, who diligently served for over 27 years at Quality Assurance Inspector, until her health no longer permitted her to.

"Sugar Foot", as her cousin Barry called her, always had a vivacious smile and her gentle and concerned heart always cared about others. She had an amazing memory and could remember names, birthdays much more that others might have forgotten. Moreover, Charlotte had such a strong love for her family, especially her loving niece Allison, whom she loved like she was her own daughter.

Charlotte was a fashionable woman, who loved to shop and wear the latest outfits. There was nothing in the whole world Charlotte loved to do more than eat crabs. She could eat them breakfast, lunch and dinner. Charlotte also enjoyed cooking meals for her family, especially during the holidays.

Her sister, Gretchen R. Makell preceded her in death.

Charlotte leaves to cherish her memory: one niece, Allison R. Makell; one nephew, Alex S. Makell; one great niece Amayah; two great nephews, Ali and Auston; two brothers in love, Billy Shivers and Barry Shivers; and a host of relatives, special friends and colleagues.
