Cassie Blount

CASSIE VIRGINIA BLOUNT, daughter of the late Hillie Taft and Emma Mae Little was born on October 28, 1934 in Pitt County Carolina. She departed this life on February 17, 2018 after a lengthy illness.

Cassie received her education in the Pitt County Public School System of North Carolina.

Cassie married the love of her life the late Octavius Blount, from this union she was blessed with four children.

Cassie was a homemaker caring for her children and grandchildren. She kept kids in the neighborhood, she enjoyed watching TV when Judge Judy, Price is Right and Survivor were on, you had to be extremely quiet. In the summer months, you would always see Cassie sitting on the steps with her fly swatter talking to everyone who came by. She was a woman of llittle words and a big heart.

Cassie Will be sincerely missed by all of her family and friends.

Cassie leaves to cherish her memory: three daughters Denise Hawkins (Jabo), Cassandra Blount and Tonya Blount, one son Tony Blount (Tiffany); three grandchildren, Maurice T. Lee, Mia Davis and Bre'onna Brownley; six great-grandchildren TJ, Desira, Xavier, Jaliah, Ja'sean and Raegan, and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. A special salute to Ms. Ruth Watson a devoted friend and a devoted niece and caregiver Agnes Luster.
