CAROLYN COOKS was born on October 1, 1946, in Baltimore, Maryland. Her parents, Curtis Davis Sr. and Mary Cecelia Brown preceded her in death.
Carolyn attended both Dunbar and Eastern High School. She held several jobs, she worked with the State of Maryland and prior to retirement as a 311 dispatcher with Baltimore City.
She loved her family and dogs, especially bichon shih tzu, Myles. She was affectionately known as "Aunt Pudding".
She enjoyed shopping, traveling and sometimes bus trips to the casinos. She and her sister, Estella Stokes, enjoyed the lottery and playing scratch offs.
Her favorite singers were Anita Baker and Marvin Gaye. Her favorite songs were Mercy Mercy Me by Marvin Gaye and Take Me to the King by Tamela Mann.
She was a joy to be around. She enjoyed spending time with her family and dancing.
She loved the holidays, especially Christmas, in which she would spend time each year with her sister, Estella Mae Stokes, who preceded her in death. Three brothers, Curtis Davis, Jr. (aka-Tippy), James Davis (aka-Uncle Bunny), William Arnold Brown Jr. and another sister, Magaret Sutton, also preceded her in death.
She is survived by two sisters, Shirley Stowers and Janie Winkler and one brother, Paul Brown.
She leaves one daughter, Ave' Pulliam; one grandson, Kevin McNeil to cherish her memories. She is survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. One special friend Rodney Henson with whom she danced and cherished.
